Carhaix is host to the annual four-day Vieilles Charrues music festival, which attracts more than 200,000 people, the third week in July. Last year the event starred Bruce Springstein amongst many others and past performers have included REM, Madness, Tracey Chapman, Joe Cocker and James Brown.
